We’re proving that open source can be a strong business foundation. Modern brands want more control over their stack and Saleor gives it to them. Our enterprise open source strategy means open-source as the main product with an optional cloud SaaS delivering enterprise-grade maintainability, security and performance. In a 2020 survey of 950 Global IT leaders, 77% said they expected to increase their use of enterprise open source software, which is up from 59% in 2019.

OUR STORY

Frustrated by lack of options
Saleor is spin-off of a bespoke e-commerce software agency, Mirumee Software. Saleor was born of necessity. Our developers had grown tired of many things in traditional e-commerce software from annoying sales pitches to subpar performance to boring releases. But one thing made us want to scream: inflexibility. It pained us to tell a marketing team its new cool UX idea was a hard ‘no’ or a ‘maybe, but at terrible cost’ due to the platform selection, so we built our own.
